Next I would like to thank those who participated throughout this contest and provided constructive commentary. I know we all learnt from each other.

I definitely look forward to using this system to showcase the many things I now do in the areas of design. As soon as this system reaches my humble abode, look forward for a complete review. I have everything prepped and ready. :)

It's like having 16GB now. So less then 1% used more then 4GB. If you had more RAM you could always use x64 version (professional edition only) Microsoft has always a solution, even for the little group of people that use more extreme stuff.

But what irritates me from the Linux crowd is when they use inaccurate information to describe Windows as less secure. Its even strange when they compare Windows 98 with the latest Linux distribution in terms of security.

Most persons who run Linux along with Windows tend upgrade to the latest Linux distro with an old version of Windows such as 98 or NT 4 still hanging around. Its an unfair analysis, just like an article I was reading on a website that Windows XP does not support more than 4 GBs of RAM, when its clear that Microsoft did release Windows XP Professional x64 which does support more than 4 GBs of RAM. The use these little nuances to escape the eye of the casual reader who might not be as in depth when analyzing situations like these..

Jihad I believe needs to stop, Linus has even said it, if you are happy with Linux, great, if you are happy with Windows no problem. Even his parents still Windows.

Like the saying, 'if you live in a glass house, don't throw stones'. There has been a high level of discrepancy in Linux's security record'. From patch time to the reality of its attack surface compared to Windows. Its most obvious that the lucrative aspect of targeting Windows is its user base. 95% vs 1%, where is the fun in targeting 1%. The reality remains, that software is a man made product, bugs are expected and it will always be a cat and mouse game. But, I will continue to put my trust in Windows because its established, has a recognized backing in addition to a faster patch process and its simply easier to secure and manage. Locking down a Linux system requires a PHD, I am sure 95% of worlds computer users have better things to do with their time than learn the command line.

You can't compare them. Desktop OS will have always more features then Mobiles ones.

Anyway if the Android Phone doesn't support bluetooth then I think that's a big mistake! All phones that are $100+ support bluetooth and a more expensive phone doesn't?? Few years ago I paid a bit more to have bluetooth on my phone. I prefer to compare on the merits of true competitors such as iPhone OS X, Windows Mobile and Symbian. Google is making a big mistake here and its rushing it out for only a few reasons, anxiety to get their Mobile Search/Ad platform up and ready and to compete with established platforms from Microsoft and the new competitor from Apple.

This particular model seems to be customized for the review though. With the functionality and features, huge amounts of RAM, disk spaces and processor speed in addition to its unique design, choosing this over an iMac would be no brainer.

Question though John, whats driving the functionality behind the Touch Smart? Did HP have to write proprietary drivers to interface applications like Office or is some thing else, how does it work? The reason why I am curious is because it seem to take Microsoft some time to get even Tablet support for Office right, I think Office 2003/2007 is where it has really seemed like a natural experience. Did HP work with Microsoft to achieve this?

I agree though, HP should have taken the chance go with 24 and 30 inch models.

It includes the following solutions:

Windows Server 2008 x64 - Network Operating System for managing client computers through Active Directory. Its the first version of Windows SBS to be 64 bit only.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Standard - Email Server solution

ISA - Software based firewall solution

Its basically a bundle that comes in both Standard and Premium flavors. I hear its a big hit in the SMB market. Windows SBS 2008 is built on the same codebase as Windows Vista/Server 2008 SP1.

- A GPU that is enough powerfull to run Vista

- big screen

- 500GB of space with a fast speed (7'200rpm)

(- remarkable design)

Maybe you forgot the most important to tell? The price. Or didn't I found it in the article?

Anyway security is the most important!

"Powerful and more secure infrastructure that was rebuilt from the ground up. "

Was it rebuilt from the ground up? I thought that was for another OS from Windows. One of the following versions of Windows - Windows 7 or beyond?

It's just a hype. I'm not saying it's a bad product but it's defently a hype. Almost all Apple stuff is a hype. iMac, iPhone, MacBook, AirBook, and so on.

Apple = normal company + white paint = 2 x the normal price

Conclusion: The white paint must be extremely expensive to produce! :D

I don't know if that is true. I think Microsoft is better secured but because 90% use microsoft - there will be also 90% of hacks written for Windows...

But I don't think Windows is not good secured, not at all.

Because Red Hat is used less, less people will write hacks for it.
